ایم کیو ایم کے ڈپٹی کنوینر ندیم نصرت نے لندن سیکریٹیریٹ سے بات کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پولیس نے ان کو پولیس سٹیشن منتقل نہیں کیا ہے۔
لندن پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ نارتھ ویسٹ لندن کی مجوزہ پراپرٹی میں اب بھی سرچ آپریشن جاری ہے اور یہ کارروائی پولیس کے سپیشلسٹ آپریشنز یونٹ نے کی۔
واضح رہے کہ الطاف حسین کی عمر ساٹھ سال ہے اور وہ 1991 سے لندن کے اسی علاقے میں مقیم ہیں جہاں یہ کارروائی کی گئی ہے۔
یاد رہے کہ چند ماہ قبل لندن پولیس نے بی بی سی کو بتایا تھا کہ ڈاکٹر عمران فاروق کے قتل کی تحقیقات کے سلسلے میں انسداد دہشت گردی کے یونٹ نے الطاف حسین کے دفتر پر پہلا چھاپہ چھ دسمبر سنہ دو ہزار بارہ کو پولیس اینڈ کرمنل ایویڈنس ایکٹ کے تحت مارا تھا۔
اس چھاپے کے دوران دفتر سے نقد رقم برآمد ہوئی تھی۔ پولیس نے اس رقم کے بارے میں مزید کوئی تفصیل فراہم نہیں کی تھی تاہم پولیس کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ رقم پروسیڈ آف کرائم ایکٹ کے تحت قبضے میں لے لی گئی۔

لندن میں میٹروپولیٹن پولیس متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کے کئی بینک اکاونٹ منجمد کر کے ٹیکس نہ دینے کے الزامات کے تحت تحقیقات کر رہی تھی۔
ایم کیو ایم ان تمام الزامات سے انکار کرتی ہے لیکن الطاف حسین نے اپنے ایک ٹیلی فونک خطاب میں کہا تھا کہ لندن پولیس نے ان کا جینا حرام کر رکھا ہے۔
الطاف حسین نے حال ہی میں یہ بھی کہا تھا کہ اگر انھیں گرفتار کیا گیا تو کارکن یاد رکھیں کہ ان کا قائد بےگناہ تھا اور بےگناہ ہے۔
ایم کیو ایم کے قانونی ماہر بیرسٹر فروغ نسیم نے بی بی سی کے پرواگرم ’نیوز نائٹ‘ میں پارٹی کا موقف بیان کرتے ہوئے کہا تھا کہ ڈاکٹر عمران کا قتل پارٹی کے مخالفین کی سازش یا کوئی رہزنی کی واردات کا نتیجہ ہو سکتا ہے۔

غیر یقینی جیسی صورتحال میں ہر شخص نے گھر کا رخ کیا، جس کی وجہ سے سڑکوں پر ٹریفک بری طرح متاثر ہوئی ہے۔ بعض علاقوں میں شدید فائرنگ کی بھی اطلاعات ہیں۔
متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کی جانب سے ہنگامی پریس کانفرنس طلب کرلی گئی ہے، جس میں آئندہ لائحہ عمل کا اعلان کیا جائے گا۔
پاکستان کے شہر حیدر آباد میں بھی تمام دکانیں اور بازار بند ہو چکے ہیں۔ جگہ جگہ ٹائر جلائے جا رہے ہیں، مختلف علاقوں میں شدید ہوائی فائرنگ جاری ہے۔ پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ بند ہو چکی ہے، شہر میں جاری امتحانات کو اچانک منسوخ کرد یا گیا ہے۔ پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ نہ ہونے کے وجہ سے لوگ پیدل ہی گھر جا رہے ہیں۔

Altaf Hussain Arrested in Money Laundring case

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain was arrested in London on the charges of money laundering, sources in MQM said on Tuesday.
The London Police had been investigating Hussain in this case for over several months now.
In a TV interview, Altaf had revealed that all his bank accounts in Britain had been frozen by the authorities. The MQM chief had admitted that the British authorities had conducted raids at his house and at his office.
Scotland Yard has not revealed the identity of the man arrested, Express News reported. According to the their press release, a 60-year-old man has been arrested on charges of money-laundering.
Karachi University examinations have been cancelled for the day.
Naeem Khanzada, reporting from Nine-Zero, says party members are gathering at the party headquarters for the emergency meeting.
MQM London Secretariat members say they will announce future course of action once the situation is clearer.
